Trapper Gallon of Glue

Features:

Directions For Use

*Remove rings, watches, etc., and thoroughly wet both hands with a small amount of liquid detergent. Also wet the blade portion of household scissors

* Place Glue on cardboard, plastic, tar paper, boards, and work glue board to a thickness of 1/8" to 1/4" .

* Place glue boards in areas where rats and or mice will most likely cross over the glue board as they move from hiding places to feeding areas.

Generally, these are along walls, by gnawed openings, beside burrows, in corners and concealed places, or inlocations where rodents or their signs have been observed.

* To increase effectiveness, block passageways so that rodents are forced to travel directly over the glue boards. Effectiveness may also be increased by placing bait materials such as nutmeats, cake crumbs or sweets in the center of the glue boards.

* When placing the glue boards on sits such a such as ledges, pipes, etc., secure boards by wiring or nailing so that a trapped rodent cannot move them or make them difficult to recover.

Victor Holdfast Traps / Rat

Victor Holdfast Traps / Rat

Features:

These expanded, plastic triggers on the mice or rat snap trap is a lot more sensitive than the normal metal trigger style. Place traps on a hard surface, perpendicular to a wall so that the trigger end is toward the wall. Traps should be set in areas where there is high activity such as fresh droppings, gnawings, rub marks, burrows, or urine stains.

* When trapping, whether you use glue traps, snap traps or live traps, the key is to be persistent and aggressive with the trapping. You may need more traps than you think is warranted

* Rats are often shy of new objects and placing unset traps in a new location for a week or two will increase the opportunities of catching. This will acclimate the rats to the traps, once acclimated, set enough traps to kill the a large percentage of the population before the rodents become "trap shy." This is called mass trapping, trapping them at a higher rate than they can repopulate and become shy of the trap.

There may be a need to have as many as 2-3 dozen rat traps set in place in a commercial establishment, in an infested trash room for example. By having these traps baited with a Rat/Squirrel lure or peanut butter unset, a large population would be use to feeding on around the traps. When the traps are then simultaneously set after a while of this "feeding", a large kill can be obtained.

* The spring on the rat snap trap is very strong,(it could break a finger) so keep it out of reach of your pets and small children.

* Equipped with a setting control which allows you to use a soft or sensitive set,"s" for normal, stable surfaces and a firmer setting,"f", on surfaces that may vibrate( machinery for example) ..where they could prematurely set off the trap.

Mouse Master Multiple Catch Mouse Trap

Mouse Master Multiple Catch Mouse Trap

Features:

The Mouse Master Mouse Trap is a multiple-catch trap made from galvanized steel. Simply turn the plastic knob on the side of the trap about 8-10 full revolutions (be careful not to overturn) and then place the Mouse Master next to a wall. Inquisitive mice will enter the Mouse Master triggering a lever that will slide the mouse into a holding chamber. The Mouse Master mouse trap will catch about 10-15 mice. Plus, it uses no harmful chemicals making it humane for mice and safe around children and pets.

The Mouse Master Mouse Trap measures 9 1/4" x 7" x 5 1/2"

Special Features of the Mouse Master Mouse Trap:

* NO BAITS and NO CHEMICALS OR POISONS.

* Made of Galvanized Steel and can be used over and over again for many years.

* Can catch several mice in one setting.

* Safe for children and pets.

The Mouse Master Mouse Trap uses no bait and can catch multiple mice in one setting.

1. Wind up the trap 6-7 times until the winding knob stops (be careful not to overturn). The trap is now ready. 2. Place the Ketch-All parallel to a warm surface wall (so one hole is facing the wall), leaving 1½ - 2 inches between the trap and the wall. Alternatively, you can place the back of the trap flush against the wall so that the trap is perpindicular to the wall. 3. Mice will run along the wall, then naturally want to enter the hole in the Mouse Master, triggering the trap. 4. To empty the trap, slide back the lid and pull up on the end plate. The mice can then be disposed.

Victor Mouse Trap

Victor Mouse Trap

Features:

Victor mouse traps work very well and kill mice instantly. Snap traps work best when baited with sticky bait (i.e. peanut butter) to ensure that the mouse will disturb the trigger mechanism even if the mouse touches the bait only lightly. 12 traps.

Most trapping efforts fail because too few mouse traps or rat traps are used. You'll probably need more traps then you think. Set enough traps to kill most of the population before the rodents begin to shy away from the traps. We recommend placing the traps every 2-3 feet along a wall, with the trap placed perpindicular to the wall. Rodents enter a home through holes the size of a dime and run along walls, not over open spaces. 1. Place victor mouse traps perpendicular to the wall. 2. Place victor mouse traps out unset, without bait, for a few days (even 1-2 weeks) so rodents can become familiar with them. 3. Place traps where rodent activity is seen (sign of chewing, droppings, runway, burrow). 4. Leave victor mouse traps undisturbed for at least two days before moving to a new location. 5. Check traps daily and replace as needed. 6. Wear gloves when disposing of rodent.

The Rat Glue Boards have proven their ability to catch rats under the toughest conditions possible-their own natural environment. So when we say they work we're not basing our findings on lab tests. Rather real live tests. The secret is simple, the use of long lasting, atmosphere-enduring, and instant catch-on-contact glues. 3 packages (2 traps in each pack).

General Trapping Tips

2 Door Trap The following tips should be used when preparing to live catch your nuisance animal.

Havahart recommends that you contact the Humane Society, or the local or state game commission before setting a trap to determine the lawful method of releasing a captured wild or nuisance animal. Many species are protected by law in various states.

Following the instructions contained in the carton, you may want to test the trap and spring it a few times to make sure that it works properly. For example, spring it by touching the trip plate from each end, This should be done also after the trap has been set and camouflaged to make sure it works freely. If you feel the doors do not work fast enough, place small stones or other weights on top of the door. This will cause doors to drop faster.

When you receive the trap it will be bright and new. Therefore do not be discouraged in case you do not catch what you anticipated the first night or day. The effectiveness of Havahart traps usually improve with age. Some animals do not mind a new trap while others do. So instead of setting the trap to catch the first animal to come along, bait the trap, or simply place it where you intend to set it and fasten the doors open by means of a stick or wire.

After a couple of days, when you notice the bait has been disturbed or taken, it is time to set the trap. Camouflaging the trap is an effective means to entice the animal. Place twigs and leaves all over the trap to remove a lot of the glare from the trap. You can even spray it with water and throw dirt on it to give it a conditioned look. Animals will not be discouraged from entering the trap by the smell of your handling the trap or from supposed machine/oil odors in the manufacturing process.

Top Trapping Tips

* Be aware of weather conditions. Trapped animals should not be left out in the elements as they can die from prolonged exposure to heat and cold.

* Check traps FREQUENTLY. Wild animals stress easily and may seriously injure themselves as they attempt to escape.

* Other animals besides the target animal may get caught in the trap. If this happens, advice on releasing it safely can be obtained from a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in your state.

* Depending on the time of year, you may trap a nursing mother and if you relocate only her, her babies will not survive. To see if you've trapped a nursing female, stand the trap on one end to observe the belly.

* Traps should be washed, disinfected with a bleach solution (1 part bleach to 9 parts of water and let it remain on for 20 minutes), and thoroughly rinsed after each capture to stop the spread of any potential disease. Animals frequently defecate and urinate when captured and it is unhealthy to put bait down unless trap is cleaned thoroughly.

The following are good bait suggestions for squirrels.

* Cereal * Grains * Nuts (especially peanuts) * Sunflower seeds * Anise oil (a drop or two on bread) * Shelled corn * Apples * Mixed peanut butter and oatmeal or peanut butter and molasses, popcorn * One trapper swears by almond extract on bread as bait to tempt the nearest squirrel
