Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray

Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray

Active Ingredient: Methoprene- 0.09, Permethrin- 0.50%

Features:

Precor® 2000 Plus Premise Spray kills Fleas and Ticks. It contains a unique combination of ingredients that kills both adult and pre-adult (larvae) fleas. Precor® 2000 Plus prevents reinfestation and flea build-up for 7 months. Precor® 2000 Plus Premise Spray reaches fleas hidden in carpets, rugs, drapes, upholstery, pet bedding and floor cracks. It doesn’t leave bad smells, stains or sticky mess. One can covers 2,000 square feet. 16 oz.

Many times, "flea bombs" or flea collars just don't do the trick , a better understanding of the flea life cycle and knowing how to break it is very important to understand.

* Female fleas need blood to complete their reproductive cycle. Baby fleas need blood to grow. Although fleas prefer dog and cat blood, they will eat human blood.

* The female lays eggs on the host animal, but the eggs fall to the ground, carpet, sofa, dog bed, owner's bed, or easy chair where they hatch in two-to-five days.

* The flea larva feeds on organic debris in the environment. Within a week or two, depending on temperature and humidity, the larva spins a pupa (or cocoon) to protect it during metamorphosis to the adulthood.

* In the hard-shelled pupa, the larva transforms from a tiny maggot-larvae like creature into an adult able to leap 100 times its own height, and the cycle begins again !

* It may take a couple of treatments to kill off the emerging adults as they evolve from the larvae stage within the first 4-6 weeks. For that reason, the best time to start a flea control program is in the late spring ,prior to an infestation.

* To contain an infestation, fleas must be controlled: Whenever you see adult fleas crawling on your pet, it is only a symptom of a much larger problem.

* Current studies indicate that adult fleas account for only 5% of the total flea population in any given situation. Eggs account for 50%, larvae account for about 35%, and the remaining 10% are the pupal cocoons. That means that for every single adult flea living on your dog or cat, there are 10 eggs, 7 larvae, and 2 cocoons. These various life cycle stages will be found anywhere in the pet's environment, but will be most concentrated in the areas that the pet spends most of its time. Remember, when the adult flea on the pet lays an egg, it will fall off the hairs in just a few minutes....it is very similar to them sowing "seeds". So, areas where the pet sleeps or lies around will have the most eggs. If the pet usually walks through certain paths (either indoors or outdoors), t here will also be a substantial amount of eggs scattered in those areas. What this means is that environmental flea control must be spread over the pet's entire environment, focusing on the areas the pet spends the majority of his or her time.

Active flea infestations and prevents infestations from developing. Prevents re-infestations for 7 months.

Tips For The Treatment

Use Ultracide/Precor 2000 at the rate of 16 oz. for up to 2,0000 sq. ft. of hard surfaces and 1000 sq. ft.for carpeted surfaces.

Carpeted areas may be vacuumed before treatment and after treatment has dried.

Treat infested areas or areas which could be infested; these include rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, pet beds and pet resting areas. Hold can at arms length and direst spray toward the areas to be treated.

Use a sweeping motion to apply product and back away form treated areas while holding the can 36 inches away form the surface being treated. An area of 80-100 sq. ft.can be treated in approximately 10 seconds with Precor 2000. When treating upholstered furniture, treat under cushions and areas where flea development occurs.

Cover aquariums and fish bowls and remove birds from area prior to treating. Treated areas should be vacated during application.

* EXCEPT FOR APPLICATOR, DO NOT PERMIT HUMANS OR PETS TO CONTACT TREATED SURFACES UNTIL THE SPRAY HAS DRIED. * DO NOT TREAT PETS WITH THIS PRODUCT

Warning:

Precor 2000 has been tested on several types of carpet, fabric, and other household furnishings without adverse affects.

In a few instances, waxed surfaces have been whitened or dulled. Holding the can 36 inches away from the target surface normally prevents any whitening from occurring. Because of the wide variety of floor types and finishes, treat a small inconspicuous area before treating the entire area.

Avoid contact with antique finishes

Petcor Flea Spray

Petcor Flea Spray Product Details:

Active Ingredient: Pyrethrins- 0.20%, Methoprene- 0.27%

Features:

Contains natural pyrethrins to immediately kill adult Fleas, Ticks and Lice, plus Precor IGR, an insect growth regulator that targets the egg and larval stages of development for 63 days after application. Approved for use on dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (Not to be used on puppies and kittens under 12 weeks of age). The mobility of dogs and cats makes it difficult to treat all potential areas of flea infestation. So it's important to consider a flea control formulation that goes where they do - especially one that targets pre-adult fleas, the source of reinfestations.

FOR DOGS AND CATS

FOR FLEAS A light even coverage of the hair coat will provide effective flea control. For best penetration, ruffle the coat while spraying against the natural lay of the hair. Cover animal's eyes with hand. With a firm fast stroke, spray head, ears, and chest. With cloth, rub into face around mouth, nose, and eyes. Then spray the neck, middle and hind quarters, finishing with legs and tail last. Avoid spraying rectum and genitals. Apply at the rate of 1 or 2 squeezes of the trigger sprayer per pound of body weight. For larger dogs, spray until damp, not saturated. Do not allow animals, cats in particular, to become chilled. Repeat every two months, if necessary.

FOR TICKS Make sure spray thoroughly wets individual ticks.

FOR PUPPIES AND KITTENS

FOR FLEAS Leaving the eyes, nose, and mouth exposed, treat puppies and kittens weighing less than three pounds by wrapping the animal in a towel that has been lightly sprayed with PETCOR® Flea Spray, for 5 to 10 minutes. Or lightly spray a brush or cotton ball and work thoroughly into the hair coat. Fleas may then be removed from the coat by picking or combing. Puppies and kittens over three pounds may be treated the same as dogs and cats as described above. Repeat every two months, if necessary. Do not allow animal to become chilled. Do not use on puppies and kittens under 12 weeks of age. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, nursing, or animals on medication.
